zadar and sibenik FROM SPLIT Itinerary

Join us and prepare yourself for a very unique experience.

Departure is in front of your hotel/apartment where you will be picked up by our experienced English-speaking guide/driver.

Drive toward the city of Zadar via A1 Highway. We will stop for a coffee break at one of the most beautiful European Highway stops, just above the mouth of the Krka River and the picturesque city of Skardin where you can enjoy the amazing view.

We Continue to Zadar. The historic town of Zadar is rich in cultural and historical monuments. Here you can see The Roman forum dated to the 1st century AD, the church of St. Donatus dated to the 9th century AD.

Zadar is also known for some of the modern attractions: let’s see and listen to the sea organ a sound art object and experimental musical instrument that creates lovely chimed tunes using only the rolling power of sea waves.
On the waterfront, we will also find another permanent installation  Greeting to the sun which is the work of the same architect. This inspiring monument consists of 300 multi-layered glass plates that absorb solar energy during the day and create a spectacular waterfront light show just after sunset.

Time at leisure in Zadar and departure toward Sibenik.

The Cathedral of St. James in Šibenik is one of the most significant and most beautiful architectural achievements in Croatia and was included on the UNESCO Cultural World Heritage List in 2000.

The Cathedral is also well known for its iconographic innovations, among which the frieze of 74 head sculptures (individual portraits of the contemporaries of its architect Juraj Dalmatinac). Šibenik is also known as the first city in the world whose street lights were powered by a polyphasic system of alternating current.

After time at leisure in Sibenik, we are back in Split in the evening around 06:00 PM (optional – depending on additional services/experiences you want to book).
