Highlights

bikovo skywalk Itinerary

Join us and prepare yourself for a very unique experience. Departure is in front of your hotel/apartment where you will be picked up by our experienced English-speaking guide/driver.  We depart toward Makarska along the dalmatian coast. The first stop is Omiš, a town located at the mouth of the river Cetina. Known as the city of pirates it looks as if it was carved into the mountains and because of such a position it gave the pirates great power. After enjoying Omis we continue to Makarska riviera –  one of the leading tourist centers on the Adriatic coast. Every corner of the Makarska Riviera offers something magical, natural beauties, opportunities for active vacation or relaxation. Numerous tourist places are spread along the Riviera at the foot of the Biokovo mountain.

Skywalk Biokovo is a unique attraction in Croatia. A horseshoe-shaped lookout is located at the edge of the cliff, above the abyss. At 1228 meters above sea level you will be able to enjoy an impressive view of the Makarska Riviera and islands, and thanks to the glass surface, you will have the feeling as if you are walking among the clouds.  We will also reach the top of the mountain Biokovo, whit a road that goes up to the very top of the massif – Sveti Jure ( St. George) which is 3rd highest peak in Croatia.

Afternnon we will vist Makarska. Time at leisure for a swim at the famous city beach, lunch, and sightseeing.   We recommend a visit to the Malacological Museum – the museum of shells or the newly opened Biokovo mountain presentation center where you will find detailed info on Bikovo massif including presentations, exhibitions, and even an earthquake simulator – dedicated to the large earthquake that hit Makarska in 1962.

For real glocal gastro experience, you should book  Traditional Peka Lunch.   “Peka” is a large metal baking dish with a bell-shaped dome lid, used to cook food in an open fireplace, with hot coals and embers placed on top of the dome for even, slow cooking. Don’t miss the opportunity to try how lamb and veal prepared in this traditional way can be soft and delicious.

We are back in Split in the afternoon around 06:00 PM or depending on your preferences and available time.
